League Changelog
We have fully moved our snipes to our website! This includes regular day to day snipes, ranked and league matches. Our website has synchronized, latency corrected countdowns to ensure everyone is queueing at the exact same moment, regardless of your ping.
We felt this change was necessary due to the limitations we’ve been experiencing with Discord. Due to our size, our Discord server constantly experiences server outages causing our bots to become unresponsive. By moving our snipes to our website, our Discord will turn into a community hub for competitive Fortnite players where you may converse, make suggestions or find teammates. Discord will still be used as our main form of communication with our community.
You must be logged into our website to participate. Quick links:
Our Solo Ranked is back! We originally ran our Ranked Solos of Discord’s text-to-speech feature. This feature has recently been broken for all clients, so we have gone ahead and moved our ranked solos to our website. Because of the downtime, our $3,000 prize pool deadline has been extended to February 22nd. There’s still plenty of time to get in on the action!
Our FNPL Bot was experiencing issues where it wouldn’t always detect someone’s game id. This issue has been fixed, and the feature is now back! If you’d like to have your code auto detected so you don’t have to type it in, follow the instructions below:
We aim to take our website beyond just snipes, and the first step in this direction is personalized profiles. You can edit your website name, upload a new avatar and setup your socials all from your profile page. Soon you’ll be able to setup your gear and upload your Fortnite configuration for others to see and download. Click “Edit Profile” in your drop down menu to get started!
To make communication between staff and the community easier, we’ve implemented a brand new ticket/report system right on our website. You’ll be able to see the current status of your ticket, as well as reply to any comments left by staff. This will become a strong area of focus for our staff team, and will try to get a response to everyone within a timely manner. You can submit and access your tickets from your drop down menu.
Knowing the status of your point submission has never been easier. On our new league submission page, you can see all your submission that are either waiting, pending, accepted or denied. If your ticket was denied you’ll be able to see who denied it, along with the deny reason. Never miss out on your points again! Submitting points is easy, just choose the match you’re submitting for and input your results. You can submit and check your submissions from your drop down menu.
Similar to our duo revamp, we’re also making some changes to our squad league to improve the overall competitive experience. What does this new system try to accomplish?
Instead of having an Intermediate Division, we will instead fill Champs up to 150 teams. This should increase the lobby size to ensure more matches while still having a barrier between Champs and Open.
Unfortunately we don’t have a prize pool yet for squads. At the end of each season, we will invite the top 3 teams to our FNPL Tournaments Discord, adding the winning teams to our “Featured Streamers” list on our website and Discord as well as tweeting out socials.
The new point system will be designed to adjust on the match size. The more players there are in a single match, the more points the match is worth and the more placements we accept for submission. This gives incentive to play in larger lobbies for the chance at getting more points.
We will also only be accepting your top 10 matches from the season. Here are a few reasons for this change:
Below you can see the placements allowed per lobby size and their associated points. These values may be tweaked before the next season starts, but should give you an idea of how the system will work. A graphic will be made for easier view shortly.
As we said in our Duo League 2.0 announcement, we’re making slight adjustments to the league schedule. Starting next season, squads will be hosted on Friday instead of Saturday.
The next season will be starting Friday, February 9th! We look forward to seeing you all there!
We’re revamping our league structure and point system to better reflect players overall performance over the league season. What does this new system try to accomplish?
Instead of having an Intermediate Division, we will instead fill Champs up to 250 teams. This should increase the lobby size to ensure more matches while still having a barrier between Champs and Open.
Team Liquid is officially sponsoring our Duo league with a $1,000 prize pool! Top three Champs teams will split this prize pool at the end of the season. We will also add the winners streams to our “Featured Streamers” list on our website and Discord, tweet out socials, as well as an invite to our FNPL Tournaments Discord. Here’s the prize pool split:
We will also be awarding $30 to the team who got the most points that night! We will be using our new points system as described below.

We are proud to announce that we have partnered with Team Liquid to bring you a brand new FNPL experience. Introducing Ranked Solos, a fully fledged ELO matchmaking system! Progress through the tiers, work your way up the leaderboards, and make a name for yourself in the competitive community.
You can start your ranked grind right now during our preseason. All you need to do is join one of our Discords, link your Fortnite account, and queue up for a ranked solo match (any region). Our match tracking technology will handle updating your ELO based on your match performance. After 10 placement matches you'll be given a rank based on your current ELO. Matches need at least FIVE linked players in order to be tracked. The higher you climb through the ranks, the more matchmaking channels you unlock.
To keep everyone in the same skill group during matchmaking, your tier will determine what queues you’re allowed to participate in. We have the tiers: Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Master. With the divisions I, II, and III for each up tier up to Master. Players are able to queue up for their tier, or up to two tiers under it.
Every season you will start off without a rank. Your first 10 matches will determine your placement rank. This is based on how you placed in the match and how many players you killed. Each season every player will undergo a soft reset so your rank may possibly be lower than what you had at the end of the previous season.
Dropping below the ELO threshold for your rank will result in a demotion. Once you are demoted, you will no longer be able to play in that matchmaking queue. You are allowed to drop 25 ELO below your current ranks ELO requirement before you are demoted so you aren’t constantly swapping between ranks.
Platinum, Diamond and Master are all subject to ELO decay. After 14 days of inactivity you will begin to lose ELO based on your current tier. Platinum players will lose 10 ELO a day, Diamond players will lose 20, and Master players will lose 40. Decay is in place to make sure players are actively playing and keeping our matchmaking system accurate.
Team Liquid has provided us with a $3,000 prize pool to sponsor the first season of ranked play! The competition will be focused around who place in the highest tier with the most Elo. The top ten players will be rewarded with a cash prize, as well as an invite to our Tournament Discord. Players must matchmake in our ranked Solo snipes on Discord to participate.
Placements are determined by Elo. In the case of a tie, we will go by wins, win percentage, then kills. If still tied, we will resolve with a competition between the two. The prize pool is for PC players across all regions. Console is free to compete by matchmaking in the same queues with keyboard and mouse.
On January 5th at 2:00PM EST the current preseason will end and the new season will begin. The competition ends on February 22nd at 11:59PM EST. Matches counted towards the competition must end before the time limit.
It's easy, all you need to do is add our "FNPL Bot" on Epic Games. Follow the instructions in the message the bot sends you to confirm your account and link it to your Discord profile. This allows us to not only track your matches, but also auto detect your code so you don't need to type it manually.
Lastly, our website has been updated with new ELO leaderboards, along with detailed match statistics on each player’s profile. You may login to see your stats, or use the command !stats
on Discord which will generate a pretty image for you.
Put down your keyboards, FNPL is now cross platform! We have launched another Discord, "FNPL Console Scrims”. This will be an area for Xbox, PS4, and Switch players to play competitive snipe matches.
We're starting the snipes on NA-East for all platforms and will expand into more regions as the demand grows. We'll simply add another category for that region.
Matches automatically start every 30 minutes. Simply check the #snipe-announcements
channel for the next match time.
Also, we're not going to be running a league. As current Fortnite events are cross-platform we do not see the need to have a console only league. We are still open to having events and tournaments in the future.
Separate from our NA Squads League, we’re launching a Duos League on September 1st for both NA and EU. The Duos League will take place the following days, while the Squads League schedule will remain the same:
We’re giving you time to invite your duos and practice for the league. The duos system allows you and a partner to pair up through the Discord commands: !duo <@partner>
Ex: !duo @Putty
. Feel free to invite your partner now!
This will allow us to keep track of duo teams on the leaderboards and profile pages. Once you are committed to a player, your points cannot be transferred to another. If you leave your duo partner, your points and wins will be wiped for the season.
Many members have voiced their desire for a Duo League and since Epic seems mainly focused on duos and solos for their Summer Skirmishes, it only makes sense for us to recognize more than just squads.
Open League - Open League is open to whoever wants to participate, this is where all teams start. The top 25 at the end of every season will be moved into the Intermediate League. You may join the league at any time in the season.
Intermediate League - Intermediate will consist of 100 teams. The top 25 from intermediate will be moved into the Champs League while the bottom 25 get moved into the Open League at the end of each season.
Champs League - Champs League will consist of 50 teams. The top performing teams from this league will be considered to move into the Pro League while the bottom 25 will be returned to the Intermediate League at the end of each season.
Pro League - Ran on the FN Pro League Discord. This contains organizations such as FaZe, TSM, Liquid, Content Creators, and the most talented pro players. We will be choosing the top players from the Champs League to be moved up the the Pro League.
Our league has grown so rapidly that the need for another division was clear. It allows players to progressively climb a ladder and improve their skill. This also gives a bit of a buffer between the open league and the exclusive leagues. Each division presents a new challenge to overcome.
Since we’re introducing a new division between Open and Champs, here’s how the Intermediate League will work for the current season:
